Among executives of publicly-traded companies based in Calgary, the top 10 paid big wigs in 2010 made, on average, $11.5 million in 2010.
That’s according to a survey by the Calgary Herald which notes two of the top three work for Shaw Communications.
New CEO Brad Shaw made $17.3 million last year. Chief Financial Officer Steve Wilson raked in $13.9 million.
The man who led the survey the previous two years — Niko Resources CEO, President and Chairman Edward Sampson — was compensated to the tune of $16.5 million.
Rounding out the top 5: two executives from Canadian Natural Resources.
At $13.1 million, President Steve Laut was Number 5 on the list. Vice Chairman Murray Edwards was next at $12 million.
