Firefighters save lives in blazes, deal with hazardous materials, rescue kittens from trees and apparently ducklings from sewers.
Saturday, firefighters were called to Brisebois Drive and Brentwood Green in the Northwest where they found a two to three day old duckling had fallen down a sewer grate.
According to the Calgary Herald, the mother duck, with the rest of her newborn on her back, was quite distressed.
Firefighters made their way into the sewer system, returning the newborn to its mother.
Talk about gratitude! The duckling climbed on its mother’s back and the family scattered.
