Calgarian plays his way into the U.S. Open

Calgary’s Wes Heffernan is headed to the U.S. Open.

The 34-year-old golfer earned the berth after tying for second place at Monday’s sectional in Bremerton, Washington.

It’s his first invite to a major since 2001.
