Stray cat blues

Spring means more cats in the shelters.
Hundreds of stray cats are waiting in cages at City of Calgary Animal Services and at the Calgary Humane Society.
According to the City, there are 54 felines that haven’t been claimed at Animal Services.
The Humane Society has a whopping 475, and most of them are kittens. Even more are expected because we’re right on the brink of kitten season.
The organization’s Desiree Arsenault tells 660News owners need to license their critters so they don’t lose them for good.
She says a permanent identification, like a tattoo or a microchip, is also a good idea but you also have to keep the information up to date.
