Fans filed out of many viewing hubs across the country Monday night, well before the first period ended while the Vancouver Canucks were down 4-0.
But despite yet another loss on the road, Canucks fans are feeling good about Game 7. They think the team will bounce back and win the Stanley Cup on Wednesday.
“I really thought Vancouver would win. I really did. It’s okay, we’ve got Game 7! We’re going to stick through. We’re camping over in that parking lot so we’ll stay for another game,” said one woman.
“Oh well, I was expecting a Game 7 anyway. We’re here for it. It’s going to be awesome,” said another fan.
Some even think having the Stanley Cup in Canada will bring Vancouver good luck. Others would prefer it if the Canucks win in Vancouver.
It was a Game 6 of ups and downs for everyone and as one fan put it, “How could this happen again?”
Game 7 goes Wednesday at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. The puck drops 6 p.m. Calgary time.
