Taber man’s assault charges dropped

A Taber-area man is said to be elated and happy assault charges against him have been dropped.
Forty-six-year-old Joseph Singleton was charged last year after he encountered an intruder at his home and hit him with the blunt end of a hatchet.
His lawyer Douglas Carle tells 660News, after consulting with the Crown, both sides decided the best way to proceed would be to have Singleton complete an alternative measures program, and then drop the assault charges.
Carle says Singleton still needs to pay legal costs even though all the charges were dropped.
