Tornado watch

There is a ‘tornado watch’ out for areas north and northeast of Calgary, the Red Deer region, as well as Hanna Cornation and Oyen and the City of Edmonton.
660’s meteorologist David Spence explains:
” A tornado watch is significantly different from a warning. A warning would indicate tornado’s are happening or are imminent but a tornado watch just means conditions are there for the potential development of weak tornado’s. Small funnel clouds, likely cold funnels that won’t touch the ground.”
So far, there haven’t been any reports of funnel clouds.
