The Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo is underway at the Stampede Corral until Sunday.
Star Trek fans are in for a treat with celebrity appearances by their favourite characters, Captain Kirk, played by William Shatner, and Commander William T. Riker, played by Jonathan Frakes.
Frakes tells 660News looking forward to spending some time with fans who share his love for the show, as well as with his former co-star, William Shatner.
He says it’s not like he’s seeing a long lost friend from a distant galaxy, since the cast remains close.
In addition to signing autographs, Frakes will host a Q&A with fans at the convention.
While starring in the long-running TV series, Frakes also directed many episodes and two of the Star Trek movies.
