Body recovered from Bow River

A woman’s body has been recovered from the Bow River near the Marquis of Lorne bridge in the southeast, Saturday afternoon.
However, police and fire crew responded to a call around 8:30 in the morning about a man in the river.
Battalion Chief, Al Magwood, tells 660News the initial search was actually called off.
“We commenced the search around the zoo with two boats, three pieces of apparatus and HAWCS and we continued searching for approximately two hours when the initial search was called off and nothing was found. Apparently, the last I heard…the body’s been recovered and they are now getting ready to move it from the river.”
He adds it’s too early to determine the cause of death but the fire department says the body recovered is the same one they were looking for earlier.
