William Shatner graces Calgary

Captain Kirk has landed.
William Shatner is in town Saturday for the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo.
Expo spokesperson Steven Hodges tells 660News Shatner will take part in a panel discussion and even meet Mayor Naheed Nenshi.
“We have William Shatner’s panel in the Stampede Corrale, so it’s a 5,000-seat arena,” he says. “It’s guaranteed to be a good show. It’s going to be William Shatner in all his William Shatner glory. It’s going to be him talking. We’re going to have the mayor actually white hat him at the beginning of the ceremony, so that’s going to be something to check out.”
That starts at 3 p.m.
There will also be a number of other things to see. There will be a costume contest, and representatives from Marvel and DC Comics on hand.
Jonathan Frakes, who played Commander William Riker in Star Trek: the Next Generation, and Christopher Judge, known for his role of Teal’C in Star Gate SG1 will also be at the expo.
The Expo wraps up Sunday at 5 p.m.
