Glenmore Reservoir reopens for recreational use.

The Glenmore Reservoir has reopened for recreational use, as conditions are now deemed safe for the public.
Doug Bruneau, the supervisor of Glenmore Reservoir Services says city officials were out on patrol boats over the weekend, inspecting the reservoir and removing floating and semi-submerged debris.
Bruneau tells 660News as the city’s weather stabilized and Elbow River flows subsided, Water Services was able to incrementally raise the Glenmore Reservoir water level.
The reservoir is used to supply drinking water to Calgarians, provide flood control and downstream management, and provide recreational use for non-motorized boating.
