A show of gratitude is coming from Slave Lake’s fire chief as he visits Calgary.
Chief Jamie Coutts goes to city council at 9:30 a.m. Monday to express appreciation for the outpouring of support from Calgarians in the wake of the devastating wildfires in May.
Members from the Calgary Fire Department, Canada Task Force Two, Calgary Emergency Management Agency and Public Safety Communications will also be on hand.
Afterward, an appreciation event goes at the Multi-Agency Training Centre in the southeast.
