Calgary landlords face maximum fine

A Calgary landlord and his family face over $200-thousand in fines for safety violations at a total of six rental properties across the city.

It’s the largest-ever one-time penalty in the province’s history for violating the Public Safety Act.

The worst of the violations was at a home on Centre St. North; bedroom windows were broken, the bathroom was mouldy and mouse droppings were scattered in the kitchen.
