A water leak in Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat is trying to stop a major water leak.
The city’s downtown area and an older neighborhood known as “The Flats” are experiencing extremely reduced water levels and pressure.
Brandy Calvert with the City of Medicine Hat tells 660News about 500 homes and businesses are affected.
Calvert adds that the quality of the water coming out of the taps is not an issue.
Crews have blocked off a residential area and are working on repairs.
The cause of the leak and how long it will take to fix it, are not known.
