Policing top priority for Calgarians

The results of a city survey are in.
More than 23-thousand Calgarians responded to the poll which will be used in budget planning starting next year.
Policing was identified as the number one concern for Calgarians.
The survey outlined 29 areas of priority for city services. Number two on the list was ‘fire’ followed by ‘transit’ and ‘roads.’
However, though police and fire were chosen as the top two areas of concern for Calgarians, most said they felt there was already enough funding and didn’t think the city should increase their budgets.
About 85 per cent of respondents said they do want to spend more money on transportation infrastructure. 55 per cent said they’d keep the roads budget the the same level.
