Thousands take part in 3rd annual Ride to Conquer Cancer

Thousands of dedicated men and women are taking part in the 3rd annual Ride to Conquer Cancer event in Alberta.
Day one of the event covers over 104 kilometres through the rockies including a night of camping.
The ride began in Spruce Meadows in the city’s southwest and will end day one at Chain Lakes Provincial Park.
Spokesperson for the Alberta Cancer Foundation Nick Locke says, with a distance of 200km over 24 hours, it’s a tough challenge for even the most experienced riders.
The Alberta Cancer Foundation was established to advance cancer research province-wide and to directly support Alberta’s cancer centres.
