Police question suspect after suspicious fire in NE

Police have taken a man in for questioning, after a suspicious fire in the northeast community of Pineridge, Monday afternoon.
Crews were called to the 2,300 block of 56th Street N.E. at around 1:30 p.m., for reports of an explosion.
Two people were found outside the home, and crews saved two dogs from the burning house.
Stuart Brideaux with EMS tells 660News a woman in her 70’s suffered from minor smoke inhalation.
“She is fortunately very, very stable, and at this time has been released to next of kin,” he says.
Fire fighters say there was no evidence of an explosion, despite reports.
No damage estimate is known.
