Calgary traffic fines hit record high

Calgary police have written out a record number of traffic tickets.

The Calgary police report going before a city committee June 29th shows a steady rise in revenue from tickets, including fines from red light cameras.

The Calgary Herald reports the take jumped to nearly $40-million last year, a rise of $7-million in just three years.
