CTrain closures in the downtown over the long weekend

CTrain users will experience some disruptions in the downtown this Canada Day long weekend.

In order to have the new City Hall station up and running in time for Stampede, crews will be closing down 7th Avenue to conduct electrical work and other upgrades.

The closures will begin on Friday and run until Sunday with regular service resuming on Monday.

Theresa Schroder with the city tells 660News, it will also mean closures of the Bridgeland, Memorial and Zoo stations.

Shuttle buses will be made available in the affected areas.

Additional service will be provided for Canada Day celebrations and the Stampeder’s football game.
