Calgary’s police chief defends spending

With potential job cuts on the horizon for the city’s police force, Chief Rick Hanson is ready to defend how they manage their money.
After council set tax rates for the next three years, Chief Hanson told reporters they’re ready for a public staffing review to prove they’re budgeting efficiently.
Hanson says he’s not yet heard from the police commission regarding guidelines for the next budget cycle.
