It’s no ordinary day in Canada’s capital!
The hottest couple in the world have touched down in Ottawa. Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge begin their nine-day royal tour of Canada before jetting off to Hollywood.
Hundreds of hotel rooms in the city have been booked for weeks.
And when Will and Kate are in Calgary on Thursday and Friday of next week, Calgary Police Chief Rick Hanson says his officers will be ready to help keep the royal couple safe.
Hanson says there will be challenges in securing the parade route, but it will be one of the safest places in the city.
The royals plan to drive the parade route from end to beginning before they officially kick things off.
Around 1,300 local, national and international members of the media have been accredited to follow the couple’s every move in what is sure to be the most intense media coverage of a royal tour since Princess Diana.
The British media are already touting it as one of the defining moments for the new royal pair.
