Bow River Flow goes on third year

The Bow River Flow is getting ready to launch again for its third year.

The human-powered transportation festival will extend this year into Chinatown to support an estimated 10,000 people.

Cycling, roller-blading and biking are just a few of the activities that will be taking place, and Event Coordinator Sharon Stevens says it’s all a dynamic part of the city’s culture.

“We’ll trying to support the arts and culture scene as well as the environmental scene in the city,” Stevens says.

The festival will temporarily close Memorial Drive East from 10th Street Northwest to the lower deck of the Centre Street Bridge.

The Bow River Flow is set for Sunday, August 21st.
