Major roadblock for Imperial Oil

A judge in Montana has issued a ruling stopping the State of Montana from granting permits that would allow Imperial Oil to transport huge pieces of oilfield equipment through the state.
The energy company wants to have the equipment for the Kearl Oilsands Project shipped from Korea to a port in Washington, then trucked through Montana to Alberta.
But environmental groups have been fighting the plan.
A company spokesperson says they haven’t decided if they’ll appeal the judge’s decision.
