More cycling access downtown

The downtown core may soon be opened up to more bike traffic.

Calgary’s Tour de Nuit Society want dedicated bike lanes in the heart of the City.

President Gary Beaton tells 660News the group would also like a public bike share program, however the current cycling strategy had to be taken out of the equation.

Beaton says there is now a clean canvas to put cycling routes where users want them.

Tour de Nuit would also like to see a business plan put forth for the bike share program funded through private dollars.
