Olympic, World Cup skier apologizes

Olympic and World Cup skier Manuel Osborne-Paradis has apologized for a stunt that landed him in hospital with road rash to his buttocks.
Osborne-Paradis apologized Friday to fans, his sponsors and Alpine Canada for an incident just over a week ago in which he tried to hop on to the back of party bus along MacLeod Trail.
According to the Calgary Herald, when the skier tried to hitch a ride on the bus, he fell and a piece of his clothing got caught. Osborne-Paradis, who police claim was intoxicated, was dragged about 80 metres resulting in the road rash.
He says he received excellent treatment at Foothills Hospital, and – far from being bummed out over the incident, plans to volunteer at the medical facility.
Osborne-Paradis plans to resume skiing, but according to Alpine Canada he’s under an internal and confidential disciplinary review.
