Edmonton Trail parking trial a hit so far

A parking trial along Edmonton Trail could be expanded in the near future after receiving rave reviews from local businesses.
The city has allowed curbside parking on weekends during July between 7th Avenue and 14th Avenue N.E., resulting in slower traffic and a more secure feeling for pedestrians in the area.
Area Alderman Gian-Carlo Carra tells The Calgary Herald residents are yearning for Edmonton Trail to be their main street, but the mass amount of traffic makes it feel unsafe.
If the trial continues to prove popular, it could be expanded to weekdays during off-rush hours.
