BC Lions looking for their first win in Winnipeg tonight

WINNIPEG, MAN (NEWS1130) – Week five in the CFL kicks off tonight with the BC Lions in Winnipeg looking for their first win of the season.
At 0-4, the Lions are off to their worst start since 1996.
The Blue Bombers are 3-1 and tied for first place in the Eastern Division with Montreal. Last year, it took Winnipeg until the 10th game of the season to collect their third win.
The Lions need a better effort from their defence which is allowing an alarming 34 points against per game.
The BC defence is also facing the CFL’s offensive player of the week in Blue Bombers quarterback Buck Pierce who tossed 361 yards and three touchdown passes in a victory over the Argos last week.
Tonight will be an emotional game for both teams after the Bombers lost 63 year old defensive line coach Richard Harris on Tuesday when he collapsed in his office and later died. Before spending the last six years in Winnipeg, Harris was the Lions defensive line coach for four years.
Game time is 5 p.m.
