A city cop who punched an impaired driving suspect for touching a breathalyzer machine acted illegally.
A Calgary judge made the ruling Wednesday, saying Constable Steve Campbell used excessive force when he slugged the man and wrestled him to the ground in the 2008 incident.
A sentencing date will be set Friday. According to The Calgary Sun, Campbell is currently on administrative duties.
