South Korean scientists have created a glowing dog that could help find cures for diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
The genetically-modified Beagle glows fluorescent green when a drug is added to her food; a drug that can be substituted with genes that trigger human diseases, according to the lead researcher.
The scientist says creating dogs that artificially show such symptoms could aid treatment methods for human diseases.
The Calgary Herald reports the discovery took four years and $3-million.
