Storm rolls through Southern Alberta; clips Calgary

A tornado warning was issued for Wheatland County east of Calgary late Friday afternoon, before being downgraded as it continued to move east.
Areas of Wheatland County including Hussar, Rockyford, Standard and Gleichen were under the extreme warning.
This is the same storm that pounded Airdrie and clipped the northeast corner of the city earlier in the day.
Hail was described as golf ball size and coming down with such force it was exploding at impact.
Deb tells 660News at the time people were trying to find any shelter going in or out of Airdrie.
“Because it was coming down that hard and then you had other people who looked like they were making a break for it,” said Deb.
As quickly as the storm moved in, it was gone, within 30 minutes residents of Airdrie were under sunny skies.
