Two-year-old is fine after accidentally locking himself in car

A 2-year-old boy suffering from dehydration and a minor sunburn has been released from the Alberta Children’s Hospital after getting stuck inside a vehicle by accident.
Fire and EMS crews responded to the scene at Heritage Hill Plaza in the southeast around 2:30 Friday afternoon.
Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News, the child was in the vehicle for about half an hour after his mother got out and didn’t get the boy out in time before he grabbed the keys and was locked inside.
Stacey says the boy was rushed to hospital after he was taken into a store to cool off.
There was a language barrier, but Stacey adds they were able to figure out exactly what happened in the end.
