If you’re looking for something to do this long weekend, you won’t have to look far!
There are a number of festivals and activities taking place in the city and surrounding areas for the whole family.
The streets of Inglewood are buzzing with their annual Sunfest underway.
20, 000 people are expected to swarm the free family festival to enjoy street performers, a vintage car show, vendors and food.
You can also enjoy the sun by joining the Calgary Municipal Land Corporation as they celebrate the grand opening of the RiverWalk pathway in the East Village with a concert and arts market.
Rock The Walk showcases performances from three local bands and Calgary’s own Market Collective is displaying and selling the work of 23 artists.
If you’re brave enough to run with the bulls, then join the courageous men and women at The Heritage Days Stampede in Strathmore.
The five day fair features a professional rodeo each afternoon and chuckwagon races each evening.
Also out of town, the warm weekend weather is drawing hundreds to Cochrane’s Summerfest.
Organizers say the event will display three major attractions including extreme cowboy racing.
The day’s other two highlights include a giant carnival, slo-pitch tournament and live entertainment.
So get off the couch and enjoy the many activities this long weekend has to offer!
