Police hunt for pickup after hit and run

Calgary police are scouring the city this morning for a pickup involved in a hit and run last night.
A cyclist in his 20’s was hit by a truck at Centre Street and 20th Avenue N.W. just after 10.
Calgary Police Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News the driver of the truck drove off, leaving the man lying on the road with serious head injuries.
He says, the truck was also damaged. A broken side mirror will give investigators a better chance of tracking down the driver.
Witnesses describe the suspect’s vehicle as being a dark-coloured Chevy or GMC type pickup truck.
The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, is expected to survive but the severity of his head injuries isn’t known yet.
