Edmonton Police say an altercation took place outside a downtown Edmonton shelter where they found a man in his 40’s suffering from injuries.
The man later died of his injuries.
Reports are that the attack was random and that the victim was sleeping on a bench outside the shelter.
Police have a suspect in his 20’s in custody and are preparing to lay charges.
The name of the victim has not been released.
