Four referees’s who work for Hockey Canada are wondering how thieves made it into their dressing room and stole at least two credit cards during the Under-18 Selection Camp.
It happened Tuesday during a red/white scrimmage at the camp being held at Father David Bauer Arena.
One of the refs, Justin Slimm tells 660News the thief quickly charged a lot of money.
“One credit card was stolen and was taken to a local retailer. $5,700 was charged on one credit card,” said Slimm.
He says the other card had $5,500 charged to it, but the credit card companies will likely scrub the more than $10,000 charged.
District Three police say they are investigating the theft.
