Auburn bay fire set by children

A fire that caused a million dollars in damage in Auburn Bay was set by children.

The Calgary Sun reports the children got into the one of the homes under construction on July 9th and set fire to some cardboard they found. Minutes later the home was fully engulfed in flames.

There’s no indication the fire was deliberately set, and even if it was, the children wouldn’t be charged because of their age.

Police say it’s more evidence that children are attracted to and will play with fire, and parents have to talk to their children about the dangers involved.
