Alberta Health Services looking for volunteers

Alberta Health Services has begun campaigning for volunteers to serve on its health advisory councils.
The 12 councils made up of 10-15 members were established in 2009 to facilitate a dialogue between the community and Alberta Health.
Alberta Health Services board chair Ken Hughes says volunteers play an important role in connecting them with patients and families across the province.
The council meets six times a year for two year terms.
Lynn Redford, the VP of community relations for Alberta Health says they are looking for committed, enthusiastic albertans with an interest in health issues and in the health and well being of their communities.
