Seven California dogs have a new leash on life.
The Little Mutts Rescue Society, a Calgary non-profit organization, flew them up here on Monday.
Little Mutts saves dogs from being euthanized in the U.S. and Mexico.
A California Animal Services spokesman tells the Calgary Sun, thousands of dogs are killed every year.
The small to medium-sized dogs who’ve just arrived in Calgary are now up for adoption.
