RCMP confirm identity of body pulled from Chestermere Lake

Chestermere RCMP are confirming the body they recovered from the lake Thursday is that of Bondo Katumbay.

The 33-year-old slipped into the lake while tubing last Saturday.

After unsuccessful attempts, the RCMP dive team were able to locate his body with the help of sonar technology.

The father of seven is a citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo residing in Calgary.
