Psychiatric test ordered for dangerous driver

A court has ordered a man undergo psychiatric testing after he went on an hour-long  dangerous joyride in a stolen pickup truck.

The judge says he wants to know whether 25-year-old Miguel Lamoureux’s bipolar disorder played a part in the reckless jaunt on July 25th.

The Calgary Sun reports, Lamoureux pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, hit and run, and theft of a motor vehicle, saying he stole the truck with the keys left in the ignition.

He drove through at least two fences, hit a van and almost hit a cyclist before police stopped him near CrossIron Mills.
