Weapons complaint in the northwest

An unidentified man is facing weapons and assault charges following a domestic dispute at a Bowness home in the northwest.

Officers were called to a residence on Bowness Road just before 8 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a call about a man pointing a rifle at his adult son during a domestic dispute.

Police say the son actually managed to wrestle the rifle away from his dad.

No shots were fired and nobody was hurt.

A man was arrested without incident, and two rifles were removed from the home.

Names are not being released to protect the family.
