Parks Canada, the World’s first national park service, continues it’s centennial celebration in 38 of Canada’s most historic forts with a “Fab Forts Weekend” across the nation.
Whether Canada’s fortifications were built for trading fur or defending the country, they have played a central role in the geographical, political and economic development of Canada.
Among the highlights of the weekend event will be a coast to coast 100-gun salute, which will ripple across the country simultaneously Sunday afternoon.
The Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site is apart of celebrations in our province.
