Horizon resumes operations

More than seven months after a devastating fire at its Horizon Oilsands upgrader, Canadian Natural Resources says production has finally resumed at the facility.
The Calgary-based company reports production actually started August 16th, with pipeline deliveries beginning two days later.
They expect to reach full production capacity of 110,000 barrels per day of synthetic crude by next week.
The upgrader has been shut down since the January 6th fire which CNRL has attributed to a valve opening at the wrong time on top of the coking drum.
Repair and rebuild costs have been pegged as high as $450-million.
