Plains Midstream Canada continues operations

The company behind the provinces second largest oil spill has been given the green light to continue operations.
Darin Barter with the Energy Resources Conservation Board tells 660News Plains Midstream Canada has met all seven of the conditions made by the board.
“We’re going to take an active regulatory oversight on this pipeline which means we will be proactive in the work we do with them but we do have expectations that the company will abide by such as filing the appropriate information and sitting down with us once a month to ensure that pipeline is operated safely,” says Barter
The spill, in April, dumped 28,000 barrels of oil into parts of Northwestern Alberta and clean-up efforts continue in that area.
It was the provinces worst spill in 35 years.
