The Calgary Police Service received public feedback on how it can make better use of social media during a live Twitter chat on Tuesday.
Spokeswoman Michelle Dassinger tells 660News they got between 400 and 600 Twitter posts, and it appears people are keen to hear from police through Twitter and Facebook in the future.
“People generally wanted us to have one account on the various platforms, and they were interested in getting micro tidbits of information in real time from us,” she says.
The results of the surveys are due out this fall.
For a chance to tell the police how they can better use social media, there’s another live chat on Facebook September 8th.
