Bus intercepted on TransCanada

A scary incident late Monday afternoon for a number of Greyhound bus riders along the TransCanada, east of Calgary.
The driver made a call to dispatch and said there were three people on board threatening to hurt others with a firearm.
Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News, they were prepared for the bus’ arrival at the Greyhound depot in the city’s southwest.
“We had several units dispatched to meet the bus,” he says. “The bus didn’t have any GPS on it and we couldn’t get a hold of the driver. There was a big window where we didn’t know what was going on and we didn’t know where the bus was.”
Luckily, the RCMP intercepted the bus about 20 minutes outside of Calgary.
There was no firearm on board and no one was hurt.
