Marijuana grow-op discovered in after house fire

Police are investigating an early morning house fire in the northeast.
Firefighters were called to the Saddleridge Close home around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, but it’s what they found inside, a marijuana grow-op, which prompted them to call police.
Fire crews noticed electrical modifications and booby traps, including holes in the floors, when they entered the home.
They quickly withdrew until Enmax could cut power to the home.
The Hazardous Materials Team was called in to ensure the crews were not exposed to spores from the plants.
The on-duty battalion chief told 660News the fire was quickly extinguished once the power was cut.
Police are in the process of securing a warrant to search the home and are hoping to be able to enter the property Tuesday morning.
