Amber Alert ongoing in search for Sparwood boy

An amber alert has been issued for a missing three year old B.C. boy.

Keinan Hebert was last seen wearing a pair of blue Scooby Doo boxer shorts.

Police believe the toddler was abducted from his Sparwood, B.C. home between the time he was put to bed Tuesday night and when he was discovered missing Wednesday morning.

RCMP Corporal Dan Moskaluk is releasing very few details but says they do have a person of interest.

“Randall Peter Hopley being in the area given other information and facts that were gleaned led us to activating this amber alert,” says Moskaluk.

Hopley has a long criminal record including charges and convictions for the attempted abduction of a person under the age of 16, theft, assault and was convicted of sexual assault back in 1985.

Last year he was arrested in the Crowsnest Pass after a Calgary couple found Hopley living in their cabin and was in possession of several stolen items.

Hopley may be driving a 1987 brown Toyota Camry with B.C. plate 098 RAL

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
