Calgarians remember those lost on 9/11

Sunday is a somber day in Calgary as the September 11th attacks are honoured in several memorial services.
The Military Museum unveiled a World Trade Centre artifact to the public during an afternoon ceremony.
The twisted steel from the wreckage is mounted at the Museum along Crowchild Trail where many gathered for the unveiling.
Many Calgarians told 660News, it’s ceremonies like these are important to our city.
“It’s a reminder that it can happen anywhere,” said one listener.
Earlier Sunday morning, an appreciation breakfast at Fire Station 12 by the U.S. Consulate to recognize first responders and members of the Canadian Military serving in Afghanistan.
