Calgarians with a need for speed have taken their last lap as the City’s only race track closes this fall.
The City will reclaim the land Race City has called home for well over a decade in the southeast, when their lease expires.
Sunday marked the final race on the track before the city’s plans to expand the landfill next door become a reality.
A new site for a track outside the city limits is already being scouted and could mean racing’s return to Calgary is in the near future.
